New GE Power and Power PRO series cameras incorporate leading-edge, Aptina™ A-Pix™ CMOS pixel technology for the first time.
PMA Imaging & Entertainment Expo, Sydney, Australia – June 23, 2011 – General Imaging (GIC), the exclusive worldwide licensee of GE branded digital cameras, will reveal the latest additions to the highly popular Power and Power PRO series with the new GE G100 and GE E1410SW cameras at the 2011 PMA Imaging & Entertainment Expo, Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Sydney, Australia.
These two models are the first GE digital cameras that feature advanced Aptina™ A-Pix™ CMOS pixel technology, which brings distinct performance enhancing features to the new GE cameras. Increased shutter speed, the ability to continuously shoot in high speed (10 fps), advanced high-performance 1080p HD video recording capabilities and enhanced light sensitivity for sharper images with vibrant colour in low light conditions, are just a few of the advancements found in the new G100 and E1410SW.
With the addition of the new J1456W, the GE Smart Series now offers consumers a broader choice of AA or rechargeable Lithium-ion battery models in the highly affordable, entry level category. The GE J1456W features: 5X optical zoom, a new 28mm wide-angle lens, 720p HD video recording and over 20 individual scene modes, including pan-capture, image stabilisation and a new sketch mode, all housed in a new compact design. All three new camera models will be on display for the first time at the PMA Imaging and Entertainment Expo from June 24 to 26, Stand 517.

Meet the new 2011 GE Digital Cameras
GE G100 Power Pro: The GE G100 is a compact model bridge camera in the mega zoom category with 15X optical zoom, 14 megapixels and is the perfect option for the photography enthusiast moving from a point-and-shoot to a more powerful camera. Aptina™ A-Pix™ CMOS pixel technology allows the G100 to shoot high-speed photos (10fps) and advanced high-performance 1080p Full-HD video. A built-in HDMI port allows users to connect the camera to a HDTV for instant group sharing. The GE G100 is equipped with over 30 different shooting modes and all the must-have features GE digital cameras are known for, such as a large 3.0” high-resolution LCD, optical image stabilisation and a 3200 ISO for more light sensitivity. Multi-exposure, object tracking and HDR with image blending can all be found in the G100, available in October, 2011.

GE E1410 Power Series: The GE E1410 boasts 14 megapixels and 10X optical zoom in a thin and stylish design. The ultra-compact camera is ideal for anything from hiking trips to weekends in the city. The E1410SW is capable of taking sharp, multi-burst photos with increased shutter speed, a direct result of incorporating Aptina™ A-Pix™ CMOS pixel technology. Enhanced light sensitivity provides the best quality still images and the ability to take advanced, high-performance 1080p Full-HD video. This model is set to be released in October, 2011.

GE J1456W Smart Series: The GE J1456W adds a second rechargeable Lithium-ion battery model to GIC’s best-selling entry camera range, the GE Smart Series. This model packs easy to use features including: smile, face and blink detection; red-eye removal; 720p HD video capabilities and award-winning pan-capture panorama shooting mode with a new 28mm wide angle lens. The GE J1456W will be one of the most affordable 5X zoom, Li-on cameras on the market and is set to launch in August, 2011.
