The TomTom GoLive 820 is a compact, portable GPS system that is inexpensive yet provides a full GPS featurset in an easy to use package.
It also provides its owner with the facility of having live traffic updates. These occur every two minutes, and aid the user in better planning one’s trip. Updated ETAs are offered, along with status reports that let you know that you’re currently taking the best (least congested) route available.
While the live traffic updates facility is a paid service, the first year’s subscription fees are included within the price for the 820, and beyond the first year, the annual cost is just $60 or so. For around a dollar a week, that seems to me to be great value.
The GoLive 820 retails around $300.
